Yes. Non-local participants are welcome, as long as they register as a LYNX member.
1. Registration Requirement
All participants must register their LYNX Tag on the official LYNX website before joining the program.
2. Pre-Fishing Photo
Participants must take a photo with the skipper using the “Timestamp Camera” app either before or after their Catch & Release fishing session, but it must be taken within 12 hours of the fishing activity.
3. Full Video Documentation
Participants are required to record the entire process of catching and releasing the fish.
4. Use of SeaQualizers
All fish must be released using a seaqualizer to ensure safe return to their original depth.
5. Tagging Requirements
Only LYNX-provided tags may be used for tagging the fish.
6. Return to Original Depth
Participants must record the fish being returned alive and safely to its original depth in the sea.
7. Media Submission
All photos and videos must be uploaded to the “Catch & Release by LYNX Adventures” Facebook group.
8. Data Submission
Angler and fish information must be submitted via the LYNX website within 24 hours of the catch.
9. Fishing Zone
This program is strictly limited to the waters of the Malacca Strait.
10. Minimum Fish Weight
Only fish weighing 1 kg or more are eligible for this program.
11. Species Eligibility
Only deep-sea fish species are eligible under this program. LYNX reserves the right to accept or reject specific fish species for the program.
12. Points Allocation
Points will be awarded at LYNX’s sole discretion and are final. No disputes will be entertained.
13. Double Points for Lynx-Tagged Fish
If a participant catches a Lynx-tagged fish and releases it back following the official Lynx procedure, they will receive double points for that catch.
14. Points Redemption
Points earned can only be redeemed for gifts available on the LYNX website.
15. Redemption Conditions
Participants must have a minimum balance of 1,000 points to redeem gifts. For example, to redeem a gift worth 800 points, the participant must have at least 1,800 points.
16. Account Termination & Expiry
If a participant decides to leave the program, any remaining points in their account will be frozen for one year. After this one-year period, they may redeem gifts using the remaining points.
17. Code of Conduct
Any participant found engaging in fraudulent, illegal, or unreasonable activities will be disqualified, and their account will be terminated by LYNX without notice.
